Alan Mackie, from Prince Edward Island, met his bandmates in 2009 at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montréal where they were pursuing their studies in jazz and classical music.
Alan, upright bass player for The Bombadils was the winner of the 2013 Jazz en Rafale New Talent Contest and has shared the stage in jazz festivals across the country with renowned improvisors such as Chest Doxas, Remi Bolduc and Christine Jensen.
